Doorbell Demons

Doorbells will get a workout this October! This is the time of year where disguises abound and everyone from the little princess to the patch-eyed pirate make their way to our front doors and ring the bell hoping to score big. They want a treat and most of the time they get what they came for. But what about the rest of the year? Does the doorbell stop ringing? Not a chance! In the Christian life, there is always somebody at the door wanting something. Our doorbells get pushed every day, but instead of cute kids dressed like superheroes or a little puppy, there is a ferocious being whose objective is to derail your Christian life. They are not kids. They are demons and their disguise is far more elaborate. The Bible unmasks Satan and his army of demons. They are real. They are powerful. They are destructive. Which is why we better know how to identify them and fight against, what the apostle Paul calls, the spiritual forces of evil in  the heavenly places. This sermon series is going to help you do just that. The Bible lifts the mask on these beings and
gives us the strategy to fight against them, so we can live a victorious Christian life!

Eve Factor: The Need for Something More

We all want it. We desire that sweet period in life when we sense complete satisfaction. Truth is, we aren’t that satisfied most of the time. Situations change, relationships sour, health deteriorates, money dwindles, and work sucks. Throw in a few tragedies and disappointments and we are fully fledged residents of humanity. We are sinners living in a sin-soaked world. It’s no wonder we aren’t satisfied! Let’s call this the Eve Factor. Eve had everything in the Garden of Eden, but it wasn’t enough. The devil offered her more and she jumped at the opportunity. Eve never found more away from God and neither will we. Satisfaction can’t be found in the world. It can only be found in Jesus Christ.
This sermon series is about helping you be satisfied. It’s about helping you enjoy the life of faith and living in complete satisfaction with Jesus Christ. He alone fills our voids, changes our attitudes, and deposits peace within our hearts. The only thing required is faith. That’s where satisfaction resides. That’s where hope abounds. That’s where we find everything we need.

Majesty: Entering the Presence of God

One day we will all see God in all His glory. For now, He remains the invisible One from everlasting, enthroned in heaven and surrounded by both Cherubim and Seraphim angels. He is glorious, majestic, and above all, holy. Approaching God is both privilege and responsibility. It’s time for God’s people to get back on our knees, bow our heads, and meet God in His heavenly throne room with a heart of reverence. This series is about getting us back to seeing God for who He is and approaching Him in a way that He alone deserves.

Marathon: Running the Race of Faith

The Christian life isn’t a sprint. It’s a marathon. However, it’s easy to stop running, drift off-course, and quit. We all get out of breath. We get tired of running. Pain in our feet, legs, and everywhere else is part of the Christian race. One of the marks of a follower of Jesus Christ is endurance in faith. Faith is supposed to last us a lifetime. We can’t cross the finish line without it. This series is about developing endurance. It’s about helping you run the race of faith. If you’re interested in one of those trophies Jesus will be handing out in the future, then get your track shoes out and join me for this series!

Easter 2025

Eyewitnesses: Easter Through the Eyes of Those Who Were There

That first Easter weekend was far different than today. There were no bunnies or multicolored eggs with various designs. Easter wasn't lunch after church and it certainly wasn’t a day to enjoy with the family, that’s for sure. God wants us to fully grasp that first Easter. That means we need to examine the violence and the victory surrounding the crucifixion of Jesus. One way to do that is by listening to those who were there. They saw it. The bad, the ugly and the glory! This series gets us back to that first Easter and the events surrounding it. By looking at Easter through the eyes of those who were there, our faith should be engaged, stirred up and strengthened in our walk with the Lord.

One: Living in an Age of Substitutes

People settle for less. They don’t mind buying fakes. Being thrifty is a badge of honor for many. The world around us embraces things that aren’t genuine, costly or unique. In this age of counterfeits, knockoffs and cheaper versions of things, it’s no wonder society has finally set its sights on the things of God. A lesser God, a fake gospel, and a cheaper faith are purchased on a daily basis. God doesn’t do fake. Christianity isn’t cheap. The things of God are one of a kind and he doesn’t want us accepting any substitutes. This series examines God’s things and how to avoid getting ripped-off by the world we live in.

Visions of Sugarplums: Seeing Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child

Do you remember your childhood Christmases? Coming downstairs to find gifts stacked under an overdecorated tree. Lights bounced off the glossy wrappers. Anticipation of the moment is what kept you up most of the night. Visions of sugarplums dancing in your head soon became a reality with just a few more steps. Oh, the excitement of Christmas past! If only we could see Christmas that way in 2024. This series is about seeing Christmas like a child again. Join us as we look at the greatest Christmas ever through the eyes of . . . you.

Culture Clash: Refusing to Surrender Your Christian Faith

Make no mistakes, we are at war and our battlefield is the Christian life. We are bombarded with false views about country, family and even God. Culture seeks to advance it's cause of fighting against the clear teaching of God's Word. Sadly, many believers give in, give up and worse, adopt the same beliefs as the world. This series is about arming and equipping the people of God for battles at home, work, and yes, even the church. Culture must never define God's people. We must be defined by Christ and Christ alone.

Doubtful Faith: When You're Not Sure If You're Sure

The Christian life has doubts. It’s not because God changes, or the Bible is wrong. It’s because we don’t feel sure for some reason. Sometimes, we don’t feel sure about really big things. Things like heaven, salvation, the future, and all kinds of things that pop in our mind. We feel guilty because we think we should never have doubts. Christians have to live with doubts sometimes because we are . . .well, human.  This series will help clear up your doubts and remind you of our great God and Savior who never changes and keeps all his promises to those who love him.

Over the Rainbow: Replacing Tomorrow with Today

We all make assumptions. We build tomorrow into our lives as if God gave us some guarantee that things will go like we plan. The future is never meant to replace today. Unfortunately, that’s how most people live. It’s easy to get obsessed about things we want to do, goals we want to achieve, and how certain challenges are going to turn out. God wants us to trust him today. God wants us to live for him today. Why? Because he’s already taken care of our future by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Join us for this series as we explore some important passages of living in the NOW.

Verdict: The Final Decisions of a Guilty World

Ekklesia: Christ Died For It

We live in a nation of decreasing church attendance and secular thinking. Gathering together as God's people has been replaced with online streaming and YouTube sermons. Let's face it. Most don't see a need for church. God doesn't share that sentiment. In fact, it is the very thing God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for. The church is not an activity of life it is an essential to life. The very one that God offers. This series looks at various aspects of the church and reminds us of the important role God desires it to play in our life.

Price: The Cost of Christianity

Let’s face it. Christianity is filled with penny pinchers. There are too many cost cutters who name the name of Christ. Churches are like thrift stores filled with bargain hunters. Cheap grace replaced the cross with bargain basement prices. Too many today want Jesus on-sale. God offers no such bargain. He doesn’t run a five-and-dime store and following His Son isn’t found on the discount rack. Christianity has a price. God has set that price and He will not cheapen it by offering it on-sale. He desires that those who follow His Son would count the cost and pay the price of discipleship, willingly. Oh, and just so you know, it will cost you everything.

The Inflexible Gospel

Religious and non-religious alike have created an unhealthy serving of God. Like buying processed food at the supermarket churches have prepackaged God to fit the liking of the consumer. The nutritional value of modern religion focuses solely on taste with loads of sweeteners added to made God consumable. While its teeth rot and its organs fail society is left to die because its God-diet is unhealthy. How do we recover from such a poor consumption of God. Not Your Ordinary Christmas: Things Not Found Under the Tree

Most people wake up Christmas morning to a decked-out tree towering over a collection of decorative boxes wrapped in shiny paper.  Once the tearing is over and the contents of the boxes revealed, then Christmas, for all intents and purposes – is over. God never intended it to be that way. He gave the world anything but an ordinary Christmas. God gave presents that are opened in the heart and are meant to last a lifetime.
