That first Easter weekend was far different than today. There were no bunnies or multicolored eggs with various designs. Easter wasn't lunch after church and it certainly wasn’t a day to enjoy with the family, that’s for sure. God wants us to fully grasp that first Easter. That means we need to examine the violence and the victory surrounding the crucifixion of Jesus. One way to do that is by listening to those who were there. They saw it. The bad, the ugly and the glory! This series gets us back to that first Easter and the events surrounding it. By looking at Easter through the eyes of those who were there, our faith should be engaged, stirred up and strengthened in our walk with the Lord.
